Steve Mesita is a Retail Consultant for Main Street Property Services, Inc. working as part of the Retail Leasing Team. His focus is to recruit high-quality retailers to the projects in Main Street Property Services’ portfolio.

Mr. Mesita’s primary responsibilities include locating exceptional retailers who will perform at the highest level and add value to the properties represented by Main Street Property Services. Mr. Mesita is dedicated to achieving an ideal merchandising mix, and making the company’s vision for each project come to life.  

Mr. Mesita has extensive knowledge of the retail industry, specializing in exceptional food vendors and restaurants. Mr. Mesita stays current on the latest industry and retail trends by constantly traveling the San Francisco Bay Area’s most dynamic urban areas in search of innovative retail and dining concepts. A focus on recruiting unique organizations and culinary retailers has resulted in successful leasing and transformation of each of these projects into unique lifestyle destinations that maximize the client return on investment and creates a profitable experience for the project’s specialty retailers and restaurants. Mr. Mesita is committed to adding value to shopping centers and downtown districts. His current focus is on the Public Market in Emeryville as well as representing the critically acclaimed Firehouse Art Collective, Naan – N – Curry and Sumo Grub.

Mr. Mesita is zealous when it comes to client satisfaction. He understands the unique needs and real estate requirements of the prepared foods purveyor and restaurateur. Mr. Mesita specifies in aiding start-ups by sharing his insight to avoiding pitfalls of potential sites. Mr. Mesita carefully compiles data and creates tours based on research and client criteria, matches resources, devises strategic expansion plans, and negotiates lease terms on behalf of his clients. Additionally, Mr. Mesita markets clients through his brokerage network, relationships with landlords and utilizes trade shows as an opportunity to present clients to landlords, brokers, developers, and the retail real estate industry.

Prior to joining the Main Street Property Services team, Mr. Mesita gained extensive experience as a mortgage consultant for United Mortgage and Realty Financial. His mortgage consulting experience, knowledge of the East Bay trade area, and dedication to success make him an integral part of Main Street Property Services.

Mr. Mesita received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College, is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of California.
